Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Ranksy service. By signing up, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

Ranksy provides trade businesses with a website, local SEO pages, Google Business Profile management, and a listing on the relevant trade directory network. The exact features available depend on your chosen plan.

We reserve the right to update, improve, or change features of the service at any time. We will notify you of any significant changes.

Your account

You must provide accurate information when signing up. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must be at least 18 years old and authorised to enter into contracts on behalf of your business.

One subscription covers one trade business in one geographic area. We offer one spot per trade per area — your subscription reserves that spot for as long as you remain a customer in good standing.

Pricing and billing

Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Prices are listed in euro (€) and exclude VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.

Payment is processed by Stripe. By providing your payment details, you authorise Ranksy to charge your card on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel.

If a payment fails, we will retry and notify you. Continued non-payment may result in suspension of your service.

Free trial

We offer a 60-day free trial on new subscriptions. No card is required to start. At the end of the trial, you will be asked to provide payment details to continue. If you do not, your account will be closed and your area spot will be released.

Cancellation

You can cancel at any time with no questions asked. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you will not be charged again, but no refund is issued for the current period.

On cancellation your website, directory listing, and area spot will be removed. We will provide a 14-day grace period during which you can export any content.

What you provide

You are responsible for ensuring that any content, photos, or information you provide to us is accurate, lawful, and does not infringe the rights of any third party. By submitting content, you grant Ranksy a licence to use it to provide the service.

You must not use the service to make false or misleading claims about your business, qualifications, or services.

What we provide

We will use reasonable skill and care to build and maintain your website and directory listing. We aim to keep your site live and performant, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or specific search ranking positions.

SEO results vary by market, competition, and factors outside our control. We do not guarantee a specific number of calls, enquiries, or rankings.

Intellectual property

You retain ownership of content you provide (photos, business details, testimonials). We retain ownership of the website templates, code, and directory platform.

On cancellation, you are entitled to export your content. You are not entitled to the underlying website code or template.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Irish law, Ranksy is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of the service, including lost revenue or lost business opportunity.

Our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the service after that date means you accept the updated terms.
